One day, a teacher decided to do a fun experiment with his students. He gave each of them a balloon and asked them to blow it up, write their name on it and toss it in the hall. Then he shuffled all the balloons around. He told the students to go and find their own balloon in 5 minutes.
The students ran around the hall, looking for their balloon with their name on it. But none of them could find it. They were frustrated and confused. The teacher then told them to stop and pick up any balloon they saw. He asked them to give it to the person whose name was on it. In 5 minutes, everyone had their own balloon back.
The teacher explained to the students: “This is how happiness works. You won’t find it if you only search for your own. But if you care about other people’s happiness, you will find yours too.”
