So, there was this kid in a class who was really smart, but also kind of shy and quiet. He didn’t have many friends, and some of the other kids liked to make fun of him. One day, one of them decided to stick a paper on his back that said “I’m Stupid”, and told everyone else not to tell him. They thought it would be hilarious to see him walk around with that sign, and they started laughing whenever he passed by.
The kid didn’t notice anything, and he just went on with his day. He was really good at math, and he loved solving problems. When the math class came, the teacher wrote a hard question on the board and asked if anyone could solve it. No one raised their hand, except for the kid with the paper. He got up from his seat and walked to the board, while everyone else giggled behind his back.
He solved the problem in no time, and the teacher praised him for his work. She also noticed the paper on his back, and she asked him to turn around. She took off the paper and showed it to him. She said:
“It seems that you don’t know about the paper your classmate has pasted on your back.”
Then she looked at the rest of the class and said:
“Before I give you a punishment, let me tell you 2 things:
First, throughout your Life, people will put labels on you with many nasty words to stop your progress. Had your classmate known about the paper, he wouldn’t have gotten up to answer the question.
